OK guys, let’s try the dance again! Let me know if these show up, they are the pictures that were placed on the last post and for some reason were not visible. We finally ended up getting about a total of 4 inches of snow and sleet before this latest storm moved out of the area. The good point was the mulching that I did get accomplished before it fully set in was the snow/ice matted and help push the mulch powder into the forest floor so the nutrient value is well into the earth and with luck will be waiting to feed the upper roots when the trees begin to awaken from their winter slumber.
Now that said I would like to wish all a “Happy First Day Of Spring” and warmest wishes for the Spring Equinox of 2014. For me, this day marks the true beginning of our crawl out of the darkness and my pagan friends will be in full celebration before I return home from work this evening. And while I have no plans for joining in on the festivities I will be encouraging all to enjoy a little outside time today. For me that will entail returning to Fox Paw this evening an continuing the mulching project currently in progress, provided it has dried enough, there are still a few snow/ice banks scattered about.
