Having found a vintage reproduction toolbox at the hardware store, I thought it would make the perfect jewelry case. Large upper section with a multitude of small drawers. The only thing else needed was several lengths of foam water line insulation and a razor cutter; scissors would have also worked.
All that was needed was to cut the insulation to length and place in the top storage drawer. The diameter of the insulation was perfect so that the last piece installed caused all pieces to fit snuggly (no gluing was required).
The last step was to insert the cufflink shanks between the foam tubs and "presto" a wonderfully organized and displayed treasure chest. – gary
ps – this would also work well for ring storage and display :-)
